May 2, 2017 Dolphins reel in alum for men's coach Mount St. Vincent hired former player and assistant coach James Mooney to fill the men's head coaching vacancy. He will also be an associate athletic director at the College.
January 25, 2017 Both coaches, AD, out at Mount St. Vincent The women's basketball team, riding a seven-game winning streak and a half-game out of first, will have a different coach the rest of the way, while the men's basketball head coach and two assistants are out as well in an unusual midseason firing.
February 24, 2015 Dolphins Eliminate Defending Champion Purchase The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Basketball squad advanced to the semifinal round of the Skyline Conference Tournament on Tuesday night with a 61-45 quarterfinal win over two-time defending champion Purchase. Freshman Ammad Alkhulaidi (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored a game-high 19 points and classmate Mike Mulligan (Pearl River, N.Y.) finished with a career-high 12 points.
February 11, 2015 Mount Saint Vincent Rallies Past Yeshiva On Senior Night, 54-50 The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Basketball team overcame a 17 point second half deficit on Wednesday to rally past Skyline Conference rival Yeshiva 54-50. Freshman Ammad Alkhulaidi (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and senior Antonio Johnson (Fort Johnson, N.Y.) led the Dolphins with 13 points apiece and the Dolphins posted their 16th win of the season, the most under head coach Brian Nigro ’00.
January 31, 2015 Dolphins See Winning Streak Stopped At Sage The College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Basketball team saw its four game winning streak stopped on Saturday afternoon with a 106-81 road loss at league rival Sage. Senior James Zuccaro (Gilbert, Ariz.) led the Mount with a team-high 13 points.
January 28, 2015 Dolphins Edge Panthers, Post Fourth Straight Victory Seniors Antonio Johnson (Fort Johnson, N.Y.) and James Zuccaro (Gilbert, Ariz.) combined for 44 points and 15 of the team’s 24 field goals, as the College of Mount Saint Vincent Men’s Basketball team scored a hard fought 69-65 Skyline Conference victory over Purchase. Wednesday’s win gives Mount Saint Vincent four straight and six in its last nine outings overall.
