On the men's side, No. 14 Montclair State and No. 20 TCNJ opened NJAC play with wins.

March 20, 2024 Before the split Years ago, there was no Division III. The NCAA was a division-less Pangea without a clear distinction between scholarship and non-scholarship basketball. Some coaches and players from that era found success in the NBA and laid the foundation for future Division III hoopsters to make that jump.
