    GENEVA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men’s basketball team trailed Hobart College by five points with under a minute left in regulation, but Logan Wendell scored IC’s final seven points of the contest to send the Bombers to a 75-74 victory at Bristol Gym on Saturday evening. The Bombers, who capped off a perfect 3-0 week to improve to 7-4 on the season, have now won four straight contests against Hobart after the Statesmen won 13 in a row from 2013 to 2020.

    ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men’s basketball team opened the New Year with a crazy finish inside Ben Light Gymnasium as the Bombers defeated Hamilton College, 59-57, on a circus-shot buzzer-beater by Logan Wendell. Ithaca improves to 5-4 on the season, while Hamilton falls to 8-5.
  • Former Ithaca Bombers Square Off as Head Coaches

    Zach Spiker '00 and Dane Fischer '02 are no strangers to being together in a gym. The pair of former Bombers established a life-long friendship during the 1999-2000 Ithaca Men's Basketball season when Fischer was a sophomore and Spiker was a student assistant coach. Now, two decades later, the two former Bombers meet annually as head coaches at the NCAA Division I level.

    SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Ithaca College men’s basketball team gave the No. 1 team in Division III, Swarthmore College, all it could handle in a NCAA Second Round matchup inside Tarble Pavilion on Saturday night, but the Bombers wound up on the wrong end of an 86-78 decision. The loss snaps Ithaca’s 12-game winning streak and finishes off the Bombers season with a 24-6 record. Swarthmore (28-1) move onto the Sweet 16 next weekend.

    ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men’s basketball team found itself in a defensive battle against St. Lawrence University all evening in a Liberty League quarterfinal matchup inside Ben Light Gymnasium on Tuesday, but the Bombers managed to come away with a 64-54 victory to keep their season alive. Ithaca, which will meet Hobart in the semifinals, is now 21-5 on the season.

    CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men’s basketball team found themselves in a back-and-forth showdown on Tuesday evening at SUNY Cortland, as the Bombers came away with a 77-74 victory inside Corey Gymnasium to improve to 2-1 on the season. Over the course of 40 minutes, IC and Cortland traded leads 10 times and were tied on five other occasions.

    DAYTONA, Fla. – The Ithaca College men’s basketball team turned a nine-point halftime deficit into an 18-point victory, 95-77, over Ursinus College on the campus of Embry-Riddle as part of the Land of Magic Tournament in Daytona, Fla. on Sunday afternoon, December 30. Ithaca, which is now 5-4 on the season, scored 61 second half points and shot 67.6% (23-of-34) from the field over the final 20 minutes.

    ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men’s basketball team posted a convincing, wire-to-wire upset victory over No. 13 the University of Rochester, 85-70, in a non-league matchup inside Ben Light Gymnasium on Tuesday evening, December 11. Ithaca, which is now 4-3 on the season, dealt Rochester (9-1) its first loss of the year. It is the second time in as many years that the Bombers have defeated a nationally ranked Yellowjacket club (No. 15 last season), as IC topped UR, 71-68, last winter.

    ITHACA, N.Y. – Senior Peter Ezema notched his 29th career double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds to propel the Ithaca College men’s basketball team past Wells College, 82-73, in a non-conference matchup inside Ben Light Gymnasium. Ithaca is now 3-3 on the season, while Wells drops to 1-5 on the year. The Bombers are now 7-1 all-time against the Express.

IC is now 2-3 on the year and 1-1 in the Liberty League, while Bard improves to 4-3 and 2-0.

Ithaca is now 1-0 in the Liberty League and 2-2 overall, while Vassar drops to 2-3 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
