Ithaca used a big fourth quarter to upset No. 9 Rochester while No. 12 Montclair State and No. 10 UW-Oshkosh did the same to notch impressive wins.

Ithaca outscored No. 9 Rochester 29-16 in the final period to knock off the Yellowjackets at the Louis Alexander Palestra. After Alexandra Leslie's jumper put Rochester up nine to start the period, Ithaca went on a 23-6 run capped by Ali Ricchiuti's four-point play with two minutes remaining. Ricchiuti finished with 19 points for Ithaca (7-1) while Leslie notched 22 points, including the 1000th of her career, for Rochester (6-2). Box score
Rowan fought through a rough shooting performance and pulled within one of No. 12 Montclair State before the Red Hawks pulled away, 67-57. The Profs shot 32 percent from the field, but hung tough by forcing 24 Montclair turnovers. Montclair State (9-0, 5-0 NJAC) had several open looks from behind the arc against Rowan's zone defense and Katie Sire's three pointer with three minutes left put the game out of reach. Zoe Curtis scored 18 points for the Red Hawks on 4-for-5 shooting from three. Anyssa Sanchez led the Profs (7-2, 3-2 NJAC) with 10 points.

No. 10 UW-Oshkosh outscored No. 17 Wheaton (Ill.) 10-2 to start the fourth quarter and never looked back, as the Titans defeated the Thunder 65-53. Alex Richard scored 19 points and grabbed 18 rebounds for Oshkosh (6-0), which has won every game by double digits thus far. Katie McDaniels led Wheaton (6-2) with 23 points. Box score
No. 1 Tufts used a dominant third quarter to blow open its game with the University of New England. The Jumbos outscored the Nor'easters 23-9 in that period to build a 26-point advantage and won by that margin, 76-50. Tufts (8-0) hit nine 3-pointers, including three from Josie Lee who finished with 13 points. Recap
No. 5 St. Thomas broke up the logjam atop the MIAC standings a little by rolling over St. Benedict 79-35. Those two teams, along with Gustavus Adolphus, entered the day a half-game behind idle Bethel for first place. The Gusties edged St. Mary's (Minn.) 49-45 to join the Tommies and Royals in a three-way tie for first.
No. 16 Mary Washingon battled past Marymount 54-45 in a typically low-scoring affair between the CAC rivals. The Eagles shot 35 percent from the field (18-for-51) but 82 percent from the free throw line (14-for-17). Elizabeth Dofflemyer scored 16 points for Mary Washington (8-0, 4-0 CAC).
Devan Horka scored 20 points and MiKayla Lea added 13 off the bench for No. 20 Albirght, and the Lions defeated Moravian, 70-69. Camille McPherson scored 20 points for the Greyhounds, the eighth time she's scored at least that many this season.
No. 21 Texas-Tyler got back on track as Kendra Hassell's team beat her alma mater Hardin-Simmons, 70-55.
Outside the Top 25, Occidental rallied in the final seconds to beat Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 52-51. Leading by one with 10 seconds to play, the Athenas shot an airball that Occidental converted into a fast break opportunity. Dru Ishibashi found Triana Anderson for the winning basket with one second remaining. Anderson scored 22 for the Tigers who earned their first win over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps since 2013. Recap
Sewanee topped Berea 79-70 to give head coach Dickie McCarthy his 100th career victory. Tracy Bruno did the same at Oswego State where the Lakers took care of Buffalo State, 65-48.
Fredonia closed the game on a 10-0 run, including two free throws from Kathryn Halloran, and the Blue Devils edged Cortland, 72-70.
Smith took 43 fewer shots than Westfield State, but the Pioneers needed triple overtime to outlast the run-and-gun Owls, 111-103. Freshman Tu'ziah Hall became the first rookie at New Jersey City to score 30 points in 36 years, but TCNJ still routed the Gothic Knights, 82-62.
