Cortland State won the battle of the Red Dragons to forge a three-way tie atop the SUNYAC while Wash U. did the same by throttling Rochester.

Cortland went on a 10-0 run late in the fourth quarter to build an insurmountable lead over Oneonta State and finished off a 67-55 home victory. Lyteshia Price scored 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for Oneonta (11-5, 7-2), which lost its one game lead on Cortland. Geneseo State beat Brockport State 73-57 to make it a three-way tie for first. 

No. 10 Washington U. outscored No. 7 Rochester 26-7 in the third quarter and turned a three-point deficit into a lopsided 59-38 victory. Lily Sarros posted a double-double for the Bears (15 points, 10 rebounds) and Amanda Martinez just missed another (17 points, eight rebounds). Recap

Maya Wasowicz converted a three-point play with 69 seconds left and No. 8 New York U edged Carnegie Mellon, 75-74. The Tartans outrebounded the Violets by 13 but surrendered 21 points on 18 turnovers. NYU joins Washington U. and Rochester in a tie for first place with a 5-1 conference record.

Stevens took over first place in the Empire 8 with a stifling defensive performance against St. John Fisher, 51-35. Caroline Robertson scored 12 points on 6-for-9 shooting for St. John Fisher but the rest of the Cardinals shot just 10-for-33.

There wasn't much of a home court advantage for the ranked men's teams in the UAA on Friday night. Emory beat No. 11 Chicago 69-63 and snapped the Maroons' 13-game winning streak. Will Trawick scored 25 points on 10-for-15 shooting as the Eagles moved into a first-place tie with Chicago.

No. 22 New York University dropped two games back of those teams with an 85-80 loss at home to Carnegie Mellon. The Violets have lost three of their last five after winning their first 11 games.

No. 21 Texas Lutheran defeated Colorado College for the second time in seven days, this time on the road by a score of 80-66. The Bulldogs have a commanding lead over the second-place Tigers, whom they've swept, and everyone else in the SCAC.

The Liberty League race remains incredibly close. St. Lawrence defeated Bard 70-60, putting the Saints in first place and the Raptors in last place. But they -- and the other seven teams in the Liberty League -- are separated by only two games.
