Men's
Benny West
Senior guard Benny West totaled 54 points and averaged eight rebounds in helping Howard Payne to a pair of ASC West road wins. West opened with 25 points to put HPU past Texas Lutheran 89-80 and finished the weekend with 29 points in a high-scoring 105-100 win at Schreiner.
Dennis Stanton
The senior from Ursinus averaged 33.3 points in three games for the Bears, including a key conference win against Johns Hopkins. In that game against the Blue Jays, Stanton scored a Centennial Conference-record 45 points and now is the all-time leader in 3-pointers made.
Justin Wansley
Wansley led Randolph-Macon to two wins against nationally ranked teams this past week. Against No. 1 Hampden-Sydney last Wednesday, he had 24 points, and pulled down 13 rebounds, including 11 at the defensive end of the court. On Saturday against No. 23 Virginia Wesleyan, Wansley totaled 21 points, which included 8-of-9 free throw shooting, plus nine rebounds. In two games, he averaged 22.5 points and 11.0 rebounds, and shot 18-for-20 at the foul line.
Seth Hauben
Hauben averaged 22 points and 13 rebounds in three games, and three easy wins, for the Yellow Jackets.
Badou Gaye
The Senegal native from Gwynedd-Mercy averaged 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 5.3 blocks in three Pennsylvania Athletic Conference wins last week.
Women's
Lora Trenkle
Trenkle came within three rebounds of becoming the third player in Polar Bears history to record a triple-double with 18 points, 10 assists and seven boards in a win over Trinity (Conn.). For the week, she averaged 16 points, 6.7 assists, and 5.7 rebounds.
Heather Kessler
Leading the Spartans to a 2-0 record last week, and a 4-0 conference mark overall, Kessler knocked down 25.5 points per game. The York junior brought down 6.5 boards and dished 4.5 assists per contest.
Patrece Carter
Carter poured-in 45 points, including two game-winning free throws with less than two seconds left in the game, to help Louisiana College to a 90-88 win against UT-Tyler. The senior finished the Lady Wildcats’ three-game week (2-1) averaging 30 points and nine rebounds with six assists, six steals and four blocked shots.
Shervon James
In a pair of games last week, James averaged 31.5 points and 18.0 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Cougars. For the season, James leads the team and the New Jersey Athletic Conference in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 17.6 points and 12.0 rebounds per game.
Missy Stults
Stults recorded consecutive double-doubles, her 39th and 40th of her career, in victories over New England College and Wentworth. She shot 70.8 percent from the floor and was perfect from the line. For the week she averaged 22 points and 13 boards.
