December 30, 2024 McDowell's Buzzer-Beater Lifts Women's Hoops Past Hartford in Championship Game of Sandy DeWolf McCormack Memorial Holiday Tournament ROCHESTER, NY – With .08 seconds remaining off an inbounds play on the sideline, sophomore Sarina McDowell got behind the defense on a backscreen off a lob from Katie MacLachlan to convert a layup as time expired to lift Nazareth 69-67 over Hartford on Monday in the championship game of the Sandy DeWolf McCormack Memorial Holiday Tournament. Nazareth’s Madalyn Kelly was named the tournament MVP after scoring a game-high 17 points on 7-for-13 from the field, including 3-for-6 from 3-point range.
December 29, 2024 Nazareth Has Convincing 95-59 Win Over Elms in Sandy DeWolf McCormack Memorial Holiday Tournamen ROCHESTER, NY – Sophomore Sarina McDowell scored a season-high 17 points on Sunday as the Nazareth women's basketball team soured past Elms College 95-59 in the first game of the Sandy DeWolf McCormack Memorial Holiday Tournament. With the win, Nazareth advances to championship game on Monday at 3 p.m. against either WPI or Hartford. McDowell finished with six assists, five rebounds and two steals.

February 17, 2024 Saturday women: Cowgirls lasso top seed No. 16 Hardin-Simmons earned hosting rights for next weekend's ASC tournament with a dramatic win over No. 24 Mary Hardin-Baylor while the top spot in the Empire 8 playoffs will come down to math after Nazareth topped St. John Fisher. Plus, Alma scratched a 23-year itch against Hope in Saturday's NCAA D-III women's basketball action.
March 14, 2023 D3hoops.com 2023 women's All-Region 3 team Rochester's Katie Titus made her lone season in Division III count, and she's our Region 3 Player of the Year. Rookie of the Year goes to Brielle Reidinger from nearby Nazareth and Melissa Turnover of Skidmore is our Coach of the Year.
February 25, 2023 Nazareth Loses Empire 8 Title Game at Fisher, 78-55 ROCHESTER, NY – For the third-straight season, the Nazareth women's hoops teams squared off against East Avenue rival St. John Fisher in the Empire 8 Championship, falling Saturday to the top seed, 78-55. Fisher won in 2021-22, 83-52, while Nazareth won in 2020-21, 67-62.
