February 16, 2019 Pirates Knock Off Puget Sound to Close 2018-19 Season Whitworth got the road upset it needed, beating Puget Sound 61-56 on Saturday night, but the Pirates fell just short of qualifying for the NWC women's basketball tournament.
May 21, 2018 Whitworth picks Williams assistant as new head coach Joial Griffith, who spent last season as an assistant to Pat Manning at Williams, will be Whitworth's new head women's basketball coach.
April 11, 2018 Pacific women hire NWC assistant, too Pacific had interim head coaches in both men's and women's basketball this season, and today they replaced them both with assistants from other NWC schools.
April 7, 2018 Higgs steps down at Whitworth Helen Higgs, the winningest and longest serving women’s basketball coach in Whitworth history, has elected to step down from that position following her 24th season with the Pirates.
