    EUREKA, Ill. -- Playing at Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena for the first time, Eureka College junior guard Kendall Davis (Peoria, Ill./Limestone H.S./Illinois Central) erupted for 37 points and eight rebounds, igniting the Red Devils in a 92-78 victory over Rockford. The contest marked Eureka’s home opener for the 2016-17 season.

    EUREKA, Ill. – Eureka College seniors Dustin Fritsch (Sterling, Ill./Sterling H.S./Sauk Valley) and Mark Lessen (Delavan, Ill./Delavan H.S.) each produced double-doubles, leading the Red Devils to their biggest non-conference victory over an NCAA Division III opponent in nearly three years in Friday's 82-63 rout of Rockford at the Reagan Center. The victory improves Eureka to 3-0 for the first time since the 1990-91 season.

    EUREKA, Ill. – Eureka College fifth-year guard Jordan Kindred (Chrisman, Ill./Chrisman H.S.) scored his 1,000th career point midway through the second half, hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with 6.5 seconds remaining and swatted away Monmouth's potential game-tying layup as time expired, sending the Red Devils to an 82-80 non-conference victory over the Fighting Scots, Tuesday night at the Reagan Center. The decision marked Eureka's first victory over Monmouth since Feb. 24, 1976.

    LINCOLN, Ill. -- Eureka College senior center Mark Lessen (Delavan, Ill./Delavan H.S.) led all scorers with 25 points and went 11-for-11 from the free throw line, leading the Red Devils to a season-opening 89-65 victory over Lincoln Christian, Thursday night at the Laughlin Center in Lincoln, Ill. The 24-point margin of victory marked Eureka's largest margin of victory over the Red Lions in Lincoln since 1976, and the biggest win for EC in a season opener since 1978.

LOUIS, Mo. – Eureka College men’s basketball juniors Dustin Fritsch (Sterling, Ill./Sterling H.S./Sauk Valley) and Mark Lessen (Delavan, Ill./Delavan H.S.) have each been named to the All-St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference First Team, according to an announcement from SLIAC Commissioner Will Wolper Thursday night at the SLIAC Tournament in St. Louis, Mo. Additionally, junior guard Jordan Kindred (Chrisman, Ill./Chrisman H.S.) received All-SLIAC Honorable Mention.

    CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – For the second time this season, Eureka College junior center Mark Lessen (Delavan, Ill./Delavan H.S.) has been selected as the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week, according to an announcement from the league office Monday night. Lessen averaged 24.0 points and 10.5 rebounds while shooting 86 percent from the field in two EC victories last week.
