The Susquehanna men and Rowan women, along with a handful of others, notched their 11th wins of the season on Wednesday.

Susequehanna edged Albright 62-60 on a layup by Tyler Hoagland at the buzzer. Albright tied the game on a layup by DeJuan Smith with eight seconds left. After the Lions called timeout, the Crusaders set up their winning play. Steven Weidlich notched 20 points and 13 rebounds for Susquehanna.

No. 2 Whitworth battled past Mary Hardin-Baylor 68-58 for another 2-0 appearance at the D3hoops.com Classic. The Pirates erased a six-point second half Crusaders' lead with an 12-2 run and seized control of the game from there.

No. 10 John Carroll picked up its 11th win with ease as the Blue Streaks built a 19-point halftime lead against Bridgewater State and won by that margin in Daytona Beach. No. 7 Benedictine topped Carthage 82-78 to complete its regular season sweep of CCIW opponents.

Scranton handed No. 11 Christopher Newport its first loss of the season as Kevin Doolan scored 15 points and Ethan Danzig added 13 for the Royals (8-2). The game took place at Christopher Newport's tournament. Jaelin Williams scored a game-high 24 points and Shane Edwards added nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds as Wittenberg handed No. 21 Washington U. a 72-61 loss in the final of Wittenberg's tournament. Both teams are now 8-3. Carnegie Mellon led Franklin and Marshall wire-to-wire in its 74-54 victory over the 13th ranked Diplomats. Jack Serbin paced the Tarrtans' balanced attack with 16 points and seven rebounds.

No. 25 Texas Lutheran got back on track with its second win over No. 15 East Texas Baptist this season. The Bulldogs topped the Tigers 69-54 at Texas-Tyler's holiday tournament.

Loras pulled away in the third overtime as the Duhawks defeated Keene State 112-102 in Phoenix. Justin Vanwambeke missed the last shot in the first and second overtimes for Loras but scored five points in the third to finish with a game-high 34. Keene State fouled out three players and still played the minimum eight.

Catholic held off a late Williams run, scoring the final seven points of the game to defeat the Ephs by eight, 65-57. Both teams are 8-3 headed into 2016. Jay Howard scored 21 for Catholic, which got 61 of its 65 points from the starting five.

Alma shot over 50 percent from the floor to beat St. Norbert in the final of the Green Knights' tournament. The Scots picked up their first win ever over a team ranked in the D3hoops.com Top 25 poll. Milwaukee School of Engineering was even hotter and rolled over Illinois Wesleyan 89-69. The Raiders shot 60 percent from the floor and Max Wojcik came of the bench to hit all nine of his shots and score 23 points.

Women: Changes coming to Top 25

Rowan started a key three-game stretch on the right foot. The unbeaten Profs defeated Eastern 74-65 at Cabrini. Kate Matthews posted 17 points and 17 rebounds for Rowan (11-0) which plays two more NCAA Tournament teams, Cabrini and Montclair State, in its next two games. Recap

Wartburg hosted three Top 10 teams in its annual holiday tournament and scored two victories. After beating UW-Oshkosh on Tuesday, the Knights topped No. 7 Wheaton (Ill.) 75-69. Wartburg guard Katie Sommer hit a fadeaway jumper to pull the Knights within one point late and then found a teammate for a wide open three to take the lead for good. In the tournament's other game, No. 10 St. Thomas ended its two-game skid and put No. 5 UW-Oshkosh on one by beating the Titans 67-58. Kaitlin Langer scored 23 points in 30 minutes for the Tommies.

Capital held No. 11 Calvin without a field goal during overtime and the Crusaders knocked off the Knights 79-70. Kristen Thompson led Capital with 33 points and 19 rebounds. No. 13 Texas-Tyler became the first Division III team to beat No. 19 Trinity (Texas), 62-45. The Tigers' only loss previous to that came against Division I Houston Baptist.

No 25 Luther is just inside the Top 25 and UW-Stevens Point just outside of it, but that could change next week. The Pointers defeated the Norse 73-64 in Wisconsin Dells. Stevens Point held Luther to six assists and outrebounded the Norse by 11.

No. 1 Thomas More finished the non-conference portion of the regular season with another convincing win. The Saints shot 62 percent and rolled over Illinois Wesleyan 92-69 behind big games from Sydney Moss (37 points, 11 rebounds) and Nikki Kiernan (26 points, nine rebounds).

No. 4 NYU didn't show any rust despite playing its first game in more than three weeks. The Violets turned 40 Brooklyn turnovers into 35 points and blasted the Bulldogs 77-35.

No. 24 Bowdoin pulled away from MIT in the second half for a 69-53 win in Cambridge, Mass. Shannon Brady posted a double-double (18 points, 10 rebounds) for the Polar Bears.
