June 18, 2012 Engen leaves Northland before coaching a game Stu Engen, who was hired as men's basketball coach at Northland in April, left the college a little over a month later.
April 23, 2012 Engen returns to Division III Former UW-La Crosse head men's coach Stu Engen returns to Division III after eight years as a Division II head coach. He'll take over Northland, which has gone 8-42 the past two seasons.
