April 2, 2025 McMurry coach takes D-I job Drew Long, who turned the McMurry women's basketball program into an NCAA Tournament team in four seasons on the job, is moving to the next level as a D-I head coach.
March 18, 2025 D3hoops.com 2025 women's All-Region 10 team Colorado College center Zöe Tomlinson, who led the Tigers to their first NCAA Tournament in decades, is the Region 10 Player of the Year while McMurry;s Drew Long garners Coach of the Year honors for rebuilding the Warhawks. Plus, Hardin-Simmons scoring machine Jacqueline Berry takes Rookie of the Year honors.
March 8, 2025 Round 2 women: On, Wisconsin! Three WIAC teams advanced through the second round of the NCAA Tournament, as UW-Stout ousted Whitman, UW-Oshkosh shut down Bethel, and UW-Whitewater edged conference rival UW-La Crosse. Elsewhere, Smith once again found late-game magic, McMurry won the Texas regional, and big runs propelled Baldwin Wallace and SUNY Geneseo to victory.
