February 4, 2017 Stars Sink Muskies In OT Thriller In what is becoming a pattern at the Igini Sports Forum, the Dominican University men’s basketball team overcame a second half deficit, forcing overtime thanks to Mike Lizak’s three with 15.6 seconds to play in regulation, before Derek Steck converted on a pair of free throws with just 3.6 seconds to play in overtime, lifting Dominican to a 77-76 win over the Lakeland College Muskies Saturday evening in River Forest.
January 31, 2017 Mr. Robertson’s Neighborhood The Dominican University men’s basketball team trailed Rockford University by 18 points with 11:28 to play before scoring 43 points over the game’s final 11 minutes to score an 86-85 victory at the Igini Sports Forum. Junior Tim Robertson paced the comeback, scoring a game-high 34 points, including 24 in the second half, as the Stars improve to 7-2 on the season at the Igini Sports Forum and 10-9 overall, 7-7 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC).
January 12, 2017 Stars Stun Spartans In Record Fashion The Dominican University men's basketball team snapped a 15-game losing streak to the Aurora University Spartans, blowing out the Spartans in a 96-60 victory that marked the largest margin of victory for the Stars over Aurora in program history.
November 30, 2016 Bullseye! Dartt's Jumper Lifts Stars Past Illinois Tech The Dominican University men's basketball team pulled out a 74-73 victory over the visiting Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks on Wednesday night at the Igini Sports Forum on freshman Connor Dartt's 15-foot jumper with 3.8 seconds to play. With the win, the Stars move to 3-2 on the season to pull above .500 for the first time since December 2010.
