    BABSON PARK, Mass.—Junior Joey Flannery (Acton, Mass.) poured in 27 points and classmate Isaiah Nelsen (North Andover, Mass.) added career highs of 22 points and eight rebounds as 10th-ranked Babson College cruised past visiting Anna Maria College, 97-67, in the championship game of the Babson Invitational Tournament on Saturday afternoon at Staake Gymnasium.

The AMCATS are now 20-7 on the season and will advance to Conference Championship on Saturday afternoon; they will host Albertus Magnus College at 2:00 pm.

(02.19.13) – Post Grad Brad Peterson (North Kingstown, R.I.) poured-in 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the floor, while senior Anthony Click (Springfield, MA) scored 16 points to help lead the Anna Maria College men’s basketball team to a 85-76 victory over Emmanuel College during the quarterfinal round of The Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tournament at The Fuller Activities Center this Tuesday. The AMCATS are now 19-7 overall, extending their unbeaten streak to 16-games and will advance to host Saint Joseph’s College during the semifinals on Thursday night. The loss knocks the Saints from the Tournament and drops their overall mark to 6-20.

    Paxton, MA (01.21.13) – The Anna Maria College men’s basketball team downed Albertus Magnus College, the 19th ranked team in NCAA Division III, 97-88 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action today at The Fuller Activities Center. Anthony Click (Springfield, MA), Bradley Peterson (N. Kingstown, RI) and Joseph Barillo (Dania Beach, FL) made major contributions, teaming up to score 61 points combined. With the upset win Anna Maria’s record improved to 9-7 on the year and 7-2 in the GNAC. Albertus received their first loss in conference play, dropping to 10-1 in the GNAC and 15-2 overall.

(02.24.11) –Senior Windell Hinkson dropped a game-high 39 points, including nine three-pointers, to spark the Salve Regina University men’s basketball team to an 89-80 victory over Anna Maria College during the semifinal round of The Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament at The Fuller Activities Center on Thursday night. The Seahawks are now 15-10 on the season and will advance to play Wentworeth in the Conference Championship on Saturday. The AMCATS fall to 18-9 overall and will have to hope for an invitation to either the NCAA Tournament or the Eastern College Athletic Conference Tournament if their season is to continue.

The loss knocks the Scots from the Tournament and drops their overall mark to 11-15.

(02.08.11) – Senior point guard Junior De La Hoz (Lawrence, Mass.) led all players with 15 points en route to surpassing the 1,000 career points milestone, while sophomore Anthony Click (Springfield, Mass.) blocked Roger Williams University’s last two shots to propel the Anna Maria College men’s basketball team to a 50-47 victory at The Fuller Activities Center on Tuesday night. The first place AMCATS have now won seven straight games, including 12 of their last 13, improving to 15-7 overall and 9-1 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Hawks’ loss snaps a three-game winning streak of their own, dropping their record to 14-8 on the season and 6-4 in the TCCC.

The AMCATS have now won seven of their last eight contests, improving their overall mark to 10-7 and their conference record to 4-1. The Nor’easters’ loss marked their ninth straight, dropping them to 2-15 overall and 0-5 in TCCC action.

The AMCATS have now won six of their last seven games, improving to 9-7 overall and 3-1 in the conference, while the Gulls drop to 10-6 on the season and 2-2 in TCCC-play.

The contest marked the conference opener for both clubs and was the fourth-straight win for the AMCATS. Anna Maria is now 7-6 overall and improves to 1-0 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference, while the Seahawks drop to 6-6 on the year and 0-1 in TCCC-play.

    CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Anna Maria College men's basketball team shot 50% from the floor and had four players finish in double figures during an 81-72 victory over Wheelock College at Pine Manor College's Brunelli Court on Thursday night. The win was especially memorable for AMC senior Chris Pinsonault (Marlboro, Mass.) who scored 14 points en route to becoming just the 17th player in program history to reach the 1,000 career points milestone. The victory was the third in a row for the AMCATS who now even their overall record to 6-6, while the now 4-7 Wildcats suffered their second straight loss.

The win improves the AMCATS to 4-6 on the season, while the Lancers fall to 1-9 overall.
