STANDISH, ME : Anna Maria senior guard Ralph Grasso, Jr. (Marlborough, MA) scored 22 points including two layups in the closing minutes as the AMCATS men's basketball team won 84-75 at St. Joseph's College on Tuesday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Mike McDevitt Court at the Harold Alfond Center in Standish, Maine.

TURNING POINT:
- After the Wildcats pulled to within four at 71-67 with 4:40 to go, the AMCATS went on a 9-3 run over the next four minutes, a rally capped off with a layup from Anna Maria sophomore guard Jakai Alexandre (Fitchburg, MA) with 51 seconds to go and the visitors leading by ten.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Grasso led the AMCATS with 22 points, eight rebounds and two steals, all while shooting an outstanding 75 percent from the floor.
- Anna Maria sophomore forward Gabe Armstead (Dallas, GA) was a force in the paint, scoring 20 points while pulling down six boards and swatting four blocks.
- Alexandre added 15 points while dishing out three assists.
- Anna Maria sophomore guard Trevian Grenon (Sutton, MA) scored 11 points off the bench.
- The AMCATS collectively went 20-of-24 from the free throw line, an outstanding 83.3 percent mark.
- The Monks were led by senior guard Nicholas Curtis (Windham, ME) with 15 points and seven assists off the bench.
- SJC junior forward Drew Shea (Mount Desert Island, ME) added 11 points and a game-high eight boards.
