BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's basketball remained undefeated at home Sunday with its 64-49 Southern Athletic Association win over Sewanee. BSC improved to 11-3 overall and 3-0 in conference play with the win. They are now 8-0 in Bill Battle Coliseum this season.
Derienne Black (Madison, Ala./Sparkman HS) finished with a game and career-highs of 28 points and seven steals. She also grabbed a game-high seven rebounds along with Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS), who also netted double-figures. Olsen earned 19 points and a game-high three blocks.
BSC head on the road for the next two weeks. The Panthers take on Hendrix College first on Friday, Jan. 10. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m.
