ROSEMONT, Pa. – In a game that featured five players being disqualified in the fourth quarter due to five personal fouls, the visiting Aggies of Delaware Valley University took advantage of their many more opportunities at the free throw line tonight to escape Alumnae Hall with a 76-68 win. With the decision the Ravens fell to 1-5 overall, while DelVal won their second straight to advance to 2-5 for the season.

The Ravens took control early, leading for most of the first quarter. An eight-point run from Rosemont turned around a 13-11 deficit to a 19-13 lead with 26 seconds left after a Shirle Brown layup. DelVal's Amber Grohowski would sink two from the charity stripe to end the first quarter with the Ravens in front, 19-15.

Ahead by only two points, 29-27 with 3:12 on the clock in the second quarter, the Ravens put together a seven-point run to extend their lead to 36-27 with 1:51 left. A Jasmyn Parker layup off of an Ayanna Thompson pass would give the Ravens a 40-29 lead, their largest of the game, with 33 seconds left. A couple of Aggie free throws would draw the visitors to within nine, as the Ravens went into the break with a 40-31 lead.

DelVal's Sam Foy helped out the visitors to start the second half, scoring a bucket and a trey to complete a seven-point run to draw DelVal within only four points of the Ravens, with Rosemont still holding a 42-38 lead with less than two minutes played in the quarter. Ahead 44-38, the Ravens ceded another seven straight Aggie points to give DelVal their first lead of the game since there was 2:21 left in the first quarter. A Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter triple from Thompson enabled the Ravens to re-take the lead by two. A Jasmyn Parker layup would put Rosemont back up by four, 49-45 with 4:33 left in the quarter. A three-ball from Tahkeema Evans on an assist from Kiley Stevens would give the Ravens some breathing room, leading by seven points (54-47) with 1:46 to play in the 3rd, and the quarter would end with Rosemont still in front by five, 54-49.

The Aggies would put together another four straight points to open the final quarter to sneak to within a point of Rosemont 54-53, and a Sam Foy triple would put the Aggies back in front, 57-56 with 6:32 left. The teams would check each other over the next several minutes, and it appeared that the Ravens would start to put the game away when they rode two free throws from Jasmyn Parker and two more from Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter put Rosemont in front 65-61 with 2 ½ minutes left. DelVal's Foy started their comeback with a three-ball on the way to a seven-point run to grab a 68-65 lead with just under 1 ½ minutes left. The Ravens were only able to get a bucket from Shirle Brown down the stretch while DelVal salted away the game with six free throws in the final 35 seconds to claim the victory.
