POULTNEY, Vt. – University of Maine at Farmington women's basketball (3-4, 2-1) sophomore Cheyenne Malloy (Skowhegan, Maine/Skowhegan) set a career-high with 20 points in Saturday afternoon's 76-36 North Atlantic Conference win at Green Mountain College (0-5,0-3).

Malloy was nearly perfect from the floor by shooting 7-of-10 and nailed six three pointers in eight attempts. Meghan Smith (Boothbay, Maine/Boothbay Region) charted double figures for the sixth straight game with 15 points. Smith shot 85.7% (6-7) from the field and sank all three shots from the charity stripe. UMF had a solid rhythm flowing throughout the game as 12 different Beavers registered a point on the scoreboard.

Shakira Bowers was the leading scorer for Green Mountain with nine points. Bowers was 4-of-10 from the floor and matched a team-high with six rebounds, including four on the offensive glass.

UMF controlled the game from the opening tip and did not surrender the lead, which grew as large as a 44-point advantage in the final minutes of the game. The Beavers also set a game-high with 10 field goals made from beyond the arc. Ironically, Farmington scored 76 points in both games this weekend, leading to its first road sweep of Castleton and Green Mountain since 2010-2011.

UMaine-Farmington returns to non-conference action on Wednesday at Bowdoin.
