NIA TOMPKINS LEADS WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM AGAINST BROOKLYN COLLEGE

Brooklyn, NY- The Women's Basketball team fell to the Brooklyn College Bulldogs 80-22 earlier tonight. The Bulldogs improve to 4-3, 3-0 CUNYAC while the Cougars drop to 0-10, 0-3 CUNYAC. 

The Cougars played tight basketball with the Bulldogs for the first 5 minutes. They tied the score twice and were only down by three points. The Bulldogs wouldgo on a 22-0 run, and put the game out of the reach. 

The Cougars in the loss were led by Junior Guard Nia Tompkins with 12 points (5-16 FG-FGA and 2-7 3pt. FG-FGA). Nia grabbed two rebounds and added a steal. Sophomore Forward Kimonia Mullings carouled a game high 12 rebounds. Brooklyn College was led by Nacirema Mann with 17 points. Two other student-athletes scored in double figures including the following: Maya Ajee-Thomas scored 11 points and Megan Campbell with 10 points.

The Cougars will be back in action on Thursday December 11, 2014. when they travel to Pratt Institute and play the Cannonneers. Tip-off will be at 8:00 pm.
