Baruch Uses Strong Defense to Double Up CCNY (62-31), Team 18-1, 11-0 CUNYAC

The Baruch College Bearcats limited the Beavers of CCNY to 31 points in a CUNYAC road victory played on Monday night at Nat Holman Gymnasium in Harlem.

With the result, the Bearcats improve to 18-1 overall and 11-0 in the CUNYAC, while the Beavers drop to 4-15 overall and 4-7 in the CUNYAC.

The visiting Bearcats used tough defense to limit the Beavers to only 19 percent shooting (12-for-63) and scored 18 points off their 20 turnovers.

They led the entire game and jumped out to a 28-15 halftime advantage en route to stretching their win streak to six in a row.


Sheridan Taylorhad another double-double with 14 points and rebounds each, while Alicea Ulmeralso scored 14 points and grabbed four rebounds.

Four different players scored six points each.
Lynda Fieldsdished out five assists.

Bria Fisher led the Beavers with a double-double of 10 points and rebounds each.

Baruch will continue their CUNYAC road schedule on Wednesday, January 30, with a 6:00 pm CUNYAC contest at York College in Jamaica, New York.
