Pittsburgh, PA- Casey Stanton (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) set two career highs with 36 points and 16 rebounds but Pitt-Greensburg (0-3) couldn't overcome a slow start falling to Chatham University (4-1) 70-59 Tuesday evening .
After taking a quick 7-3 the Lady Bobcats watched Chatham answer with a 13-0 run to take a 17-7 lead. Chatham would lead by as many as 11 and took a 35-24 lead into the intermission.
Pitt-Greensburg looked on as Chatham would extend the lead to a 24 point margin, 55-31 with 11:54 left to play. However, UPG refused to go down quietly cutting the Chatham lead to just nine on Casey Stanton's fourth 3-pointer of the night. Pitt-Greensburg was not able to get any closer falling 70-59.
Casey Stanton finished a career night with shooting 14-25 from the floor, netting 36 points, 16 rebounds 4 steals and a block. Kourtney Laratonda (East Freedom, PA/Central) added eight points and four assists. Maura Znavor (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) finished the contest with six points.
The Lady Bobcats will travel to Juniata College on Saturday, November 27. Game time is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
