It went to nine points twice early in the second half before Rochester staged a long rally. Down 40-31 two minutes into the period, Rochester used a 9-2 run over four minutes to move within 42-40. Peretz scored seven points and Seltzer had two.
Hobart moved back in front by six, 51-45, after a pullup three-pointer by Drescher, a layup from Luke Ruddy, a layup from Dominique Fernander, and a runner in the lane by Thomas Campion.
Rochester answered with a conventional three-point play from Seltzer, two free throws by Borst-Smith, and two more from the line by Seltzer. That gave the Yellowjackets a 52-51 lead.
