NEW YORK, N.Y. – Nathan Lopez finished a perfect 5-of-5 from long distance, totaling a career-high 16 points off of the bench but the second-seeded Baruch College Bearcats (17-9) shot 52 percent from the field and held the Beavers to 28 percent shooting to down the City College of New York (10-16), 85-58, on Sunday afternoon at the ARC Arena.

With the win, the Bearcats advance to the City University of New York Athletic Conference Semifinals, which will be held at Nat Holman Gymnasium on Wednesday, Feb. 20.

All 16 of Lopez's points came in the second half and Terence Johnston added 15 points but it wasn't enough as the Bearcats held CCNY to just 15 first-half points to enter halftime with a 30-15 lead. City College held 2012-13 Men's Basketball CUNYAC/Con Edison Rookie of the Year Raymond De La Cruz to just four points as the freshman was in foul trouble for most of the quarterfinals contest.

Three Baruch players reached double figures, led by Rob Goldstein's game-high 19 points.

The Beavers finish the season 10-16, tying the last three season's win total combined. CCNY loses seniors Israel Vickers and Derell Williams.
