The first game ever played between Husson and SUNY-Canton became a milestone for a different reason. Husson head coach Kissy Walker picked up her 500th career victory when the Eagles defeated the 'Roos 64-55.

After SUNY-Canton seized a 9-7 lead at the end of the first quarter, Nicole Tapparo's two free throws early in the second period put Husson in front to stay. The Eagles extended their lead to eight when Kenzie Worcester hit a three-pointer as time expired in the first half. Worcester hit another buzzer-beating three-pointers at the end of the third quarter and she finished with 31 points on 9-for-18 shooting over 40 minutes. Megan Peach collected 11 points and 15 rebounds.

Walker's record stands at 500-261 over her 28-year career as Husson's head coach. She has won 10 conference titles going back to Husson's time as an NAIA program with five coming in the NCAA as members of the NAC. The Eagles have reached the Division III NCAA Tournament six times under Walker and have won the NAC the last three seasons.

Husson improved to 10-6, 6-0 in conference. The Eagles host SUNY-Canton again on Saturday in the NAC's unusual back-to-back game scheduling format.
