After dropping from Preseason No. 7 to unranked, Bowdoin bounced back with a 61-43 win at home over No. 3 Tufts.

Tufts opened the game on an 8-0 run before the Polar Bears settled in. Bowdoin rallied to take a one-point lead at the end of the first quarter and then exploded in the second. The Polar Bears shot 53 percent from the field in the second quarter, hit three 3-pointers and forced six Tufts turnovers, building a 37-20 halftime lead.
Tufts trimmed the deficit to 10 at the start of the fourth quarter but Abigail Kelly hit a three and Shannon Brady converted a layup for Bowdoin to put the game out of reach. Brady finished with 27 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks in 39 minutes. Recap
Bowdoin will host Tufts again in early January as part of conference play. This game between the NESCAC rivals does not count in the conference standings.
FDU-Florham has been the king of the MAC Freedom conference in recent seasons, but the Devils were dropped by King's this afternoon. Recap
Tara Zdancewicz scored eight points in the final five minutes of the first half to stake the Monarchs to an 11-point halftime lead. FDU-Florham rallied to take the lead 53-50 midway through the fourth quarter before its offense went ice cold. The Devils made just one field goal in the final seven minutes and King's pulled away, 66-57. Shalette Brown posted 22 points and 23 rebounds for FDU-Florham (5-2, 1-1). Kayla Feairheller scored 18 for the Monarchs (6-1, 2-0).
Saturday was another good day in Alliance on the football field, and the Mount Union women's basketball team made it a good one off it as well. Annie Bova scored 30 points in 30 minutes and the Purple Raiders led No. 17 Capital from start to finish, 74-63. No. 23 Ohio Northern overcame an early deficit at John Carroll and finished off the Blue Streaks, 67-62.
UW-Stevens Point topped No. 24 Carthage in a back-and-forth battle, 63-60. Autumn Hennes scored 17 points for the Pointers, including the game-winner with 21 seconds left. Allie Miceli added 18 points and 16 rebounds for UW-Stevens Point.
No. 5 NYU outscored Emmanuel 19-5 in the third quarter and held off the Saints 59-54 for its seventh win of the season. Megan Dawe (14 points) and Amy Harioka (12 points), who each outscored themselves Emmanuel in the third quarter, led the Violets balanced attack.

Beyond the Top 25: Greyhounds stay red hot
Outside the Top 25, Moravian ran its winning streak to eight games with an 81-67 victory over Catholic. "We were focused today," said Greyhounds head coach Mary Beth Spirk. "It is still early but you've got to win these conference games at home and I thought we established right from the start." Recap
Alexis Wright led the Moravian with 14 points, 14 rebounds and four assists.
Southern Maine started Little East Conference play with a big road victory at preseason favorite Eastern Connecticut, 51-43. Both teams struggled from the field, shooting a combined 33 percent and 13 percent from three (5-for-40).
Albright is 7-0 for the first time in program history after its win at Lebanon Valley, 55-49. Shannon Thomas had 16 points, six assists and five rebounds for the Lions. Sara Tarbert tallied 34 points and 20 rebounds for Stevenson, but it wasn't enough to get the Mustangs past Lycoming. The Warriors shot 44 percent in their 69-61 home victory.
Westfield State set a new program record for points and field goals attempted (105) as the Owls blew past Rivier, 113-71. Kalamazoo rallied from a 19-point deficit to edge Albion, 66-63.
