A few teams will have another reason to be thankful when they celebrate the holiday on Thursday because they head into the break with big wins.

No. 5 UW-Whitewater went on the road and defeated No. 17 St. Norbert 73-62. The Warhawks only shot 23 percent in the first half, but they hit enough free throws to take a two-point lead into the half. Then the Warhawks shot 70 percent from the field in the second half and pulled away from the Green Knights. KJ Evans had a double-double for UW-Whitewater (4-0).

Wesley stayed unbeaten with a 78-72 road win over No. 8 Hampden-Sydney. David Langan scored eight points in a four-minute span to put the Wolverines for good. He finished with a double-double (14 points, 10 rebounds) and James Livingston scored 23 points for the Wolverines (4-0).

No. 9 Cabrini topped Scranton 98-79 behind another big night from Aaron Walton-Moss. He led the Cavaliers in points (37), rebounds (10), assists (six) and steals (four). Guilford is the first team to six wins as the Quakers defeated Randolph-Macon 73-71 on a last second shot by Matt McCarthy.

Southwestern rallied from a 13-point deficit to edge No. 6 Mary Hardin-Baylor 62-58. Stevenson dominated Alvernia 75-52 in a meeting of the Commonwealth Conference's preseason favorites.

Bowdoin defeated the University of New England 64-59 in a meeting of two undefeated teams from Maine. The Polar Bears overcame 28 turnovers and hit 13 of 15 free throws to hold off the Nor'easters.

Like Bowdoin, No. 13 Williams improved to 5-0 with a 67-48 victory over Eastern Connecticut. Montclair State improved to 2-0 in conference, but the latest win is a big one. The Red Hawks topped William Paterson 71-67 thanks to Melissa Tobie's double-double (26 points, 10 rebounds).

Cabrini defeated Scranton for the first time in program history, 61-57. Danielle Brogan scored 26 points and Moravian beat DeSales 69-60.

Brandeis defeated Emmanuel 80-72 as the Judges' reserves outscored the Saints' reserves 43-18. Rachel Parupsky scored 12 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked five shots and the Royals stopped UW-River Falls, 70-61.
