BW's Harrer Selected D3hoops.com Region 7 Coach of the Year, Ressler Named to All-Region Team

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball Head Coach Cheri Harrer has been named the 2024-25 D3hoops.com Region 7 Coach of the Year and senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference guard/forward Caely Ressler (Napoleon) has been selected to the All-Region 7 second team.

Coach Harrer, a seven-time OAC Coach of the Year award winner, earns her first Region 7 Coach of the Year Award. This season, she led the Yellow Jackets to their twelfth OAC Regular Season Title and their ninth OAC Tournament Championship under her guidance. She also led the team to its 19th NCAA Tournament including the program's eighth Sweet 16 appearance and fourth appearance in the Elite 8. Earlier this season, Harrer became the All-Time Winningest basketball coach in OAC history with her 693rd win passing former Capital University head coach Dixie Jeffers for the most wins by any men's or women's basketball coach at an OAC institution. She then recorded her 700th career win against Wilmington College on January 11 becoming just one of nine Division III coaches to reach the milestone. Coach Harrer now has a career record of 717-248 and led BW to a program-best 29-2 record this season including a perfect 18-0 record in conference play.

Ressler, a 2024-25 All-America honorable mention, earns a spot on the All-Region 7 second team after appearing in and starting all 31 games this season. She led the team in scoring with 342 total points including a team-best 42 made three-pointers for an average of 11 points per game. Ressler was also second on the team and tied for third in the OAC with 205 rebounds, and was second on the team and fourth in the OAC in blocks with 23. She also posted two double-doubles and tallied 43 steals and 45 assists. Earlier this season, Ressler was named the 2024 Baldwin Wallace Invitational Most Valuable Player, the OAC Tournament MVP, and earned OAC Player of the Week Honors on February 10. In her career, Ressler has appeared in 108 games making 81 starts. She has recorded 938 points including 109 threes, 653 rebounds, 147 assists, 114 steals, and 62 blocks. She is a three-time All-OAC selection and a three-time OAC Player of the Week award winner. Off the court, Ressler is a three-time Academic All-OAC honoree, a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree, a Dean's List student, and a Jacket Scholar.

The Yellow Jackets finished the 2024-25 season with a record of 29-2 and a perfect 18-0 record in conference play where they claimed both the OAC Regular Season and OAC Tournament titles. BW earned its way into the NCAA Tournament for the 19th time in program history and advanced to the program's fourth Elite 8 appearance.
