REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands women's basketball team (10-11, 5-7) lost 83-73 to California Lutheran University (CLU) at home inside Currier Gym Saturday evening as the athletic department celebrated 50 years of women's varsity athletics at the school.

The Bulldogs and Regals were tied four times in the opening quarter as CLU held a slim 23-21 lead. AJ Wick and Leila Hosn each had seven points on a combined six-for-nine shooting.

Despite the strong run they would head to the fourth down a couple of possessions, 63-57.

Through four and a half minutes to begin the fourth quarter the Bulldogs managed only six points and were down nine, 72-63. They were able to get it down to three, but the Regals quickly extended it back as they the two teams split the season series.
