SEWANEE, Tenn. - Berry Women's Basketball team fell in a tough and close matchup to the Tigers of Sewanee on the road this evening, 55-54.

The Vikings now sit at 6-3 in Southern Athletic Association play and their four game win streak has come to an end.

Kenadie Lee led all Berry scorers tonight with 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals while Sylvia Kahoro was the only other Viking to eclipse double-digits with 10 points of her own.

The Tigers owed revenge after the Vikings gave them a 40-point loss earlier this season. Now on their home court, Sewanee had a bit of momentum from their home crowd. Ultimately, the biggest stat difference was Sewanee's 11 second chance points to give them the advantage, notably 8 in the second quarter.

Sewanee started hot with a quick five points up on the board then the dog fight began with back and forth scoring until Sewanee ended the first ten minutes of play up two, 14-12. Lee tied it in the opening minutes of the second and Karlee Armstrong gave the team their first lead of the night shortly after. However, back-to-back threes from Sewanee's Zoe Sedo ended all momentum for Berry.

A 6-0 run in the last two minutes of play in the first half tied the game at 29.

The third was all Berry as they went up as much as six points, but Sewanee kept banging and found a way to make it a three point deficit heading into the final minutes of play.

Berry held on to their lead the entire fourth quarter until the clock hit 3:11 as Sewanee tied it and took the lead with a pair of free throws. Lee came clutch with a late three to tie the game back up at 52 with 1:36 left, but a late foul put the Tigers on the line where they made one to take the win.

Berry stays on the road and heads to Centre for more SAA action on Sunday at 1:00 PM ET.
