Fayetteville, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan women's basketball team continued its hot streak in USA South play, earning its eighth win in the last nine conference games with a 56-50 road victory over Methodist on Tuesday night. The victory completes the season sweep of the Monarchs.

Trailing by four heading into the second quarter, the Bishops flipped the momentum with a dominant 17-8 run, holding Methodist to just 25% shooting in the period.
Nadia Simmons once again led the charge, delivering another 20-point performance with a game-high 21 points, making seven field goals and going 5-of-6 from the free-throw line. NCWU had a balanced attack, as Anaya Hall contributed seven points and eight rebounds, while Iyania Evans controlled the paint with eleven boards, six points, and two blocked shots. Dorinda Jordan also made a significant impact with six points and six rebounds.
The Bishops outrebounded Methodist 41-39 and capitalized on its defensive pressure, forcing sixteen turnovers that led to fourteen points. NCWU also added nine second-chance points. Wesleyan's suffocating defense stifled the Monarchs, holding Methodist to 0-of-10 from three-point range and just 35% shooting for the game.
