ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Summer McNulty and Makenna Mummert each pumped in 20-plus points for the Elizabethtown College women's basketball team in their 83-74 win over Susquehanna at Thompson Gymnasium on Saturday. McNulty led all scorers with 22 points while Mummert ended with 21, her second consecutive 20-plus-point game.

Elizabethtown was slow out of the gates, starting off 2-for-10 from the floor and trailing 14-5 with over half of the first quarter gone. McNulty and Jess King got Etown within five and with time winding down, Cyleigh Wilson knocked down a three to cut the deficit to four points heading into the second.

Wilson hit another three early in the second to make it a one-point game. Next time down the floor, King knocked down a pair at the foul line as Elizabethtown grabbed its first lead of the game and used a 23-13 run the rest of the quarter to go into the half ahead 37-31. The Blue Jays shot 10-for-13 in the second period, including 2-for-3 from three to outscore the River Hawks 25-15.

Mummert and McNulty each had nine points in the first half and were a combined 7-for-10 from the floor and 2-for-3 from beyond the arc. Allyia Kennedy added seven off the bench.

The Jays led by as many as 12 points in the third after Kennedy's layups with 2:41 left. Susquehanna chipped away and got it down to four heading into the fourth after Grace Meehan's three with two seconds remaining.

Elizabethtown was red hot once again in the fourth, going 9-for-13, including 5-for-5 combined by Mummert and DaniRae Renno. Mummert and McNulty scored 15 of the team's 26 fourth-quarter points and Etown went 7-for-8 at the foul line in the quarter and 17-for-20 in the game.

Kamryn Mengel started the fourth with a pair of free throws after the River Hawks got within two on their first offensive possession.

McNulty and Mummert scored 13 consecutive points for Elizabethtown over a four-minute span. Up by nine, McNulty got inside for a layup. Mummert then connected on three straight layups, penetrating the Susquehanna defense as they were unable to prevent the junior guard from getting to the rim. McNulty added another three and a foul line jumper as the Jays upped their lead to double digits with under 2:30 to go.

Elizabethtown shot nearly 55 percent, the eighth game this season they've shot over 50 percent as a team and the second time this week they've accomplished the feat. Mummert was 8-for-9 in the game while McNulty finished 8-for-15 and 3-for-4 from deep. Kennedy ended with 13 points and Renno finished with 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
