Fifth-year point guard Elizabeth Homan buried back-to-back 3-pointers as 14th/17th-ranked Ohio Wesleyan opened the third quarter with an 8-0 run, and the Bishops went on to a 75-59 North Coast Athletic Conference win over Denison on Saturday in Granville.

Denison had taken a 28-24 lead on Adelyn Moore's lay-in with just over 3 minutes left in the first half, but the Bishops closed out the half with an 8-0 run that included a lay-in by senior post Karlee Ross, a steal-and-lay-in by fifth-year guard Kasey Schipfer, another Schipfer lay-in, and a jumper by sophomore post Macy Miller to take a 32-28 lead at the break.

Fifth-year guard Lauren Denison opened the second-half scoring with a jumper before Homan connected from downtown on consecutive possessions to stretch the lead to 40-28 with 6:27 left in the quarter.  The Big Red closed to within 40-30 on a pair of free throws by Bryana Woodard, but the Bishops reeled off the next 8 points, getting jumpers from Schipfer and Miller before Homan hit a jumper from the lane and sank 2 free throws for a 48-30 advantage.

Ohio Wesleyan would lead by a 50-39 count after the third quarter, and only once during fourth quarter would Denison come closer than 10 points.

Homan finished with a career-high 24 points, going 6-for-10 from the field, including 4-for-7 from 3-point range, and 8-for-8 from the line, to accompany a team-high 9 assists.  Homan's previous career best of 20 points also came in a game at Denison, that occurring on Jan. 18, 2023.

Miller finished with a double-double, recording 18 points and 13 rebounds.  Schipfer scored 15 points and Ross added 11.
