Hornets Edged By Pacers Despite Harris' Double-Double

Raleigh, N.C. -- The University of Lynchburg women's basketball team fell in a nail bitter on the road at William Peace, 58-57.

In a back-and-forth affair, which included four lead changes and four ties, the Pacers found themselves in front by nine with nine minutes to go in the contest.

The Hornets methodically mounted a comeback and cut the deficit to one point with 16 seconds remaining. But a pair of free throws from William Peace helped close out the victory. The Pacers did not miss a free throw attempt on the night.

While Lynchburg dominated the glass, out-rebounding the Pacers 50-33, the turnover margin is what helped William Peace pull away. The Hornets finished with 24 turnovers compared to the Pacers six.

Olivia Harris led the way for Lynchburg, tallying 18 points, and shooting 7/15 from the floor, while also collecting 12 rebounds. This comes after Harris' 20-point performance the game prior.

Taylor Brown also added 11 rebounds of her own to go along with seven points. Audra Petty also cracked double-figures with 10 points and five rebounds.

Lynchburg's next game will be next Wednesday, Nov. 20, as they head to Chambersburg, Pa. to face Wilson.
