KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Basketball team defeated Hilbert College 54-32 in a non-conference game on Friday night at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center.
Lillian Mullen (Canisteo, N.Y. / Canisteo-Greenwood) led Keuka College (3-3) with 15 points off the bench. Mary Cotter (Hershey, Pa. / Hershey) was also in double figures with 12 points.
Keuka College 54 vs. Hilbert College 32
Mary Cotter hit an early three for the Wolves, but the Hawks responded with 10 straight points to take the lead. Lillian Mullen hit a jumper from the top of the key to stop the Hilbert run. Scoring picked up for the Wolves. An old-fashioned three-point play for Mullen tied the game in the final minute. Katie Deatherage (Canandaigua, N.Y. / Marcus Whitman) got an offensive rebound and found Mullen for a straightaway three at the buzzer to give the Wolves a 20-16 lead after the first.
The Wolves took control of the game in the second quarter. Keuka College held Hilbert to 0-17 shooting from the floor. The lone point for the Hawks was a free throw four minutes before halftime. The Wolves hit a pair of threes to pace the attack as they outscored Hilbert 12-1 in the frame to lead 32-17 at the half.
Keuka College continued to roll in the second half. They held their lead throughout. In the final two minutes of the frame, a three by Sophia Babcock (Oswego, N.Y. / Oswego) pushed the margin to 22. She followed with a layup and Mary Cotter had a basket as well as the small 7-0 run gave Keuka a 49-23 lead, their largest of the game.
Keuka saw the game out in a low-scoring fourth quarter. The Hawks outscored Keuka 9-5 in the frame. Keuka's lone field goal was a corner three by Sydney Bateman (Edmeston, N.Y. / Edmeston), but the Wolves had the game in hand. Keuka College defeated Hilbert 54-32 for their third win of the season.

- Keuka College remains perfect against Hilbert. The Wolves are now 27-0 all-time against the Hawks
- Despite playing 27 times and the series starting in the 1992-93 season, Friday was just the fourth meeting between the two schools in the last 20 years
- The Wolves outrebounded the Hawks 54-35 on Friday. It was the most rebounds in a game for Keuka since January 2022
- Katie Deatherage led the Wolves with 11 boards. She reached double-figures for rebounding for the third straight game
- Janea Hamilton-Brown (Liverpool, N.Y. / Liverpool) collected 10 rebounds to set a new career high
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves continue their pre-thanksgiving homestand on Saturday as Keuka College hosts SUNY Delhi at 2 p.m. It will be the first time the Wolves have faced the Broncos since December 2017.
