The Baruch women's basketball team defeated the Cougars of Medgar Evers, 76-40, on Wednesday night in the ARC Arena.
The Bearcats jumped out to a 17-6 lead after the first quarter and never looked back en route to recording their eighth CUNYAC win of the season with two games remaining.
Mia Castillo recorded her NCAA Division III leading fourth triple-double of the season with 26 points, a season-high 11 assists, and a career-high 18 steals in the home win.
D'Andre McRae (8-11 fg) had a great night with a double-double of 16 points, 13 rebounds, and seven steals, while Elissa Leung finished with 17 points.
The Bearcats defense totaled 30 steals this evening.
Sheily Quezada was tops for the visiting Cougars with a double-double of 18 points and 16 rebounds.
The team will next host Bearcats Appreciation Night on Friday against York College and will honor senior Elissa Leung pre-game.
