Plymouth, N.H.--Graduate guard Sophia Guerrier (Waltham, Mass.) scored 14 points to reach 1,000 for her career as an Anchorwoman as No. 3 Rhode Island College defeated Plymouth State, 78-38, in a Little East women's basketball game on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After roaring out to a 13-2 lead in just 2:57, the Anchorwomen would continue to build a sizeable, 24-11, lead after the first quarter.
• RIC would round out the first half by going on a 14-3 run to take a 42-18 lead going into halftime.
• At the end of the third quarter, Guerrier would hit a step back jumper as time expired to eclipse the 1,000-point mark in her Anchorwomen career. This shot would boost the club's lead to 61-34 entering the final stanza.
• Junior guard Jayda Bing (Hamilton, N.J.) scored seven points in the fourth quarter en route to the win.
• Fifth-year forward Izabelle Booth (Newport, R.I.) registered a season-high 19 points to go along with five rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals. Fifth-year guard Olivia Middleton (Barrington, R.I.) and Bing also scored in double figures with 10 and 13-point efforts, respectively.
• Guerrier, who scored her 1,000th career point (including her one season at Felician) at Southern Maine on Dec. 6 now has 1,001 points as an Anchorwoman.
