Mia Castillo Notches Her 5th Career Triple-Double in Baruch Home Win Over CCNY

The Baruch women's basketball team defeated the Beavers of CCNY 79-53 in a CUNYAC home contest on Friday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats set the tone early scoring 13 points in the first minute and led the rest of the way to record their third win in four games to improve to 6-2 in the conference standings.

Mia Castillo notched her NCAA Division III leading third triple-double of the season and the fifth of her career totaling 37 points (14-for-26 fg, 7-for-12 3fg), 11 rebounds, and 11 assists in the home win.

The Bearcats shot 10-of-24 from three and won the rebounding battle with a 58-35 margin.

Elissa Leung had her first career-double-double with 17 points, a career-high 10 assists, and two steals.

The visiting Beavers shot only 27 percent (17-for-63) and could not recover after falling behind in the first quarter 31-9. Anna Vikattos led their squad with 16 points and seven blocks.
