Coming off the bench, first year April Chan (Fremont, Calif.) compiled eight rebounds, a game-high six assists, and three steals for the Engineers.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- After conceding the opening basket, MIT rattled off 15 straight points and ended the quarter with a 22-8 advantage. During the pivotal run, junior Kamsi Nwogu (Algonquin, Ill.) accounted for seven points for the Engineers.

- MIT's lead grew to 28 (39-11) following a three-pointer by graduate student Christina Antonakakis (Holmdel, N.J.) at the 6:22 mark of the second stanza. Eastern Nazarene battled back as it outscored the Engineers, 16-7, down the stretch for a 46-27 halftime score.

- The Lions continued to chip away at the deficit as back-to-back buckets during the first 90 seconds of the third quarter brought them within 46-31. Sparked by Antonakakis's trey during MIT's next possession, the visitors went on an 18-6 run during the remainder of the quarter.

- In the fourth quarter, Eastern Nazarene outscored the Engineers, 15-7, resulting in the 71-52 final.
