The Baruch women's basketball team recorded an 84-50 CUNYAC victory against the Cougars of Medgar Evers College on Friday night in Brooklyn.
With the result, the Bearcats improved to 4-1 in the conference standings.
Mia Castillo scored a career-high 50 points with nine steals, eight rebounds, and two assists in just 31 minutes of action to power the Bearcats.
She scored 28 of her 50 points in the second half in just 14 minutes and equaled the Cougars' point total for the entire game.
The visiting Bearcats jumped out to a 48-24 halftime lead in a game where every player saw minutes.
Elissa Leung scored 10 points and four steals, while D'Andre McRae had a career-high 10 steals and grabbed nine rebounds.
The Cougars shot 30.4 percent in the home loss. Sheily Quezada led their squad with a double-double of 13 points, 18 rebounds, and four blocks.
