No. 4 Anchorwomen Open Little East Play with, 77-50, Win vs. VTSU Castleton

Providence, R.I.--Junior forward Angelina Nardolillo (Hinsdale, N.H.) recorded 18 points and 12 rebounds for her first double-double of the season as the No. 4 Rhode Island College women's basketball team defeated Vermont State University Castleton, 77-50, in Little East action played at The Murray Center on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Graduate student Sophia Guerrier (Waltham, Mass) took charge in the first quarter, dropping 11 points in just over six minutes to give RIC a 13-point, 24-11, cushion after the first quarter.
 
• Nardolillo was a force to be reckoned with in the paint, scoring eight points in the second quarter by converting lay-ups and free throws to put the Anchorwomen up by 20, 46-26, at halftime.
 
• RIC would outscore the Spartans, 21-10, in the third quarter, which included a 14-0 run in which Nardolillo scored six points.
 
• Guerrier would record 13 points, putting her just 10 shy of reaching 1,000 for her career. Fifth-year forward Izabelle Booth (Newport, R.I.) chipped in with 12 points and seven boards.
 
• Fifth-year guard Jeniyah Jones (Randolph, Mass.) was the fourth Anchorwomen to score in double figures with an 11-point effort to go along with four rebounds, three assists and two blocks.
