HANOVER, Ind. - The Manchester women's basketball team traveled to Hanover College for another HCAC matchup on Saturday, January 14. The Panthers topped the Spartans 73-53.
Leading the way for the Panthers was Kady Clancy with 15 points. Grace Bezold added 14 points while Anna Bauer pulled down a team-high 9 rebounds for Hanover. As a team, the Panthers shot 38.5.% from the field and 84.0% from the free throw line. With the win, Hanover is now 7-0 in conference play and remains tied for first place in the HCAC.
Abi Rosenkrans (Pendleton, Ind., Pendleton Heights) lead the Black and Gold with 12 points, a new career-high for the first-year. Fellow first-year Ally Graber (Mooresville, Ind., Mooresville) chipped in 11 points while Maddi Smith (Kewanna, Ind., Caston) finished the afternoon with team high 6 rebounds for the Spartans. As a team, Manchester shot 33.3% from the field and 68.8% from the free throw line. The Spartans are now 6-8 overall and 2-5 in conference play following Saturday's loss.
The Spartans will look to get back in the win column on Wednesday, January 18 when they host the Beavers of Bluffton University. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. in Stauffer-Wolfe Arena.
