ANNVILLE, Pa. – Kate Fitzpatrick hit her second game-winning shot in a span of two weeks with a step-back jumper with four seconds left to give the Lebanon Valley women's basketball team a thrilling 60-58 victory over Immaculata University on Saturday afternoon inside Sorrentino Gymnasium.

Immaculata scored the first bucket of the game for their only lead of the contest. The Dutchmen came right down the floor and Fitzpatrick tied the game up at two. After trading scores for much of the quarter, Jordan Zimmerman scored on a fastbreak, assisted on a Fitzpatrick three, and then Kailey Eckhart knocked down a triple to put LVC up 16-8 at the end of the first quarter. Riley Hevelow began the second quarter with a three before Immaculata used an 8-0 run to cut the lead down to three. Fitzpatrick ended the run with a three. LVC was able to get the lead up to seven on a Samya Santiague steal and layup before the Mighty Macs scored the close out of the half with LVC leading 27-22.

The teams traded buckets to begin the third quarter until jumpers by Santiague and Daelyn Stabler put the Dutchmen up nine with 6:24 to go. Immaculata cut the advantage down to 39-34 before Fitzpatrick ended the quarter with a pair of free throws. LVC was able to build a 10-point lead in the first three minutes of the quarter. The Mighty Macs were able to hold the Dutchmen from scoring over a three-minute span and scored on five of their seven possessions during the run to tie the game up at 50 with 3:34 left. The Dutchmen were able to build the lead back up to four and led by three with 13 seconds left before Immaculata knocked down a three from the right side to even the score with nine seconds remaining. LVC called a timeout to advance the ball and put the ball in Fitzpatrick's sure hands with the game on the line. The junior drove the ball to the right wing and then executed a beautiful step back to give the Dutchmen a 60-58 lead with four seconds left. A last-second deep three by the Macs was way off the mark giving LVC the win.
