BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Connecticut College women's basketball team shot a season-high 52 percent from the field and rolled to an impressive 87-10 victory over Pratt Institute on Thursday night at the Pratt ARC.

Conn limited Pratt to 4-for-41 shooting on the night and also forced a season-high 31 turnovers. The Camels tied a school record for fewest points allowed, and the 77-point margin of victory was the program's largest since 1986.

Avery Burns (Orleans, Mass.) netted a game-high 13 points and shot 3-for-7 from long range to pace the Camels, who had 12 players find the scoring column on the night. Jaycie Rojik (Scituate, Mass.) added 12 points and five rebounds while Charlotte Head (Holden, Mass.) chipped in 10 points on 5-for-7 shooting.

The Cannoneers (1-15 overall), who managed only one field goal in each quarter, were led by five points from Kinako Miyake.

Conn opened the game with a 16-0 run and never relented. The Camels made 10 field goals in the first quarter—all in the paint—and led 22-4 heading into the second. The visitors then scored the first 19 points of the second period en route to a 45-6 advantage at halftime.

The points kept coming in the second half, as the Camels began both the third and fourth quarters with 13-0 stretches. Pratt scored only four points after the break and shot 2-for-17 in the half.

The last time Conn held an opponent to 10 points came during the 1989-90 season, when the Camels picked up an 81-10 win over Albertus Magnus College. The largest margin of victory (92 points) came in the season opener of the 1986-87 season, when Conn defeated Simmons College by a 117-25 final.

Conn College (5-11 overall) will next host Mitchell College on Tuesday, January 24 at 7:00 p.m.
