PLYMOUTH, N.H. Senior Jalen Cook (Monkton, Vt.) and junior Lauren Keller (Fort Morgan, Colo.) combined for 18 points and 12 rebounds, but visiting Castleton University ran away from Plymouth State University, 69-39, in a Little East Conference (LEC) women's basketball game at Foley Gymnasium on Wednesday evening.

The Panthers scored on the opening possession, but Castleton answered with an 11-0 spurt to grab the lead and the Spartans would never look back.

  • Plymouth State struggled to get the offense going as the Castleton defense held the Panthers down in the third quarter. Senior Sarah Sweet (Narragansett, R.I.) connected from distance, but the Spartans answered at the other end and the visitors' lead expanded to 52-27 at the end of three.
  • PSU was unable to rally in the fourth quarter as the Spartans rolled to the win.
