The nationally-ranked Hope College women's basketball team raced to a dominating victory over Olivet College on Saturday afternoon, taking down the Comets, 89-32.

The Flying Dutch jumped to a 28-3 lead after just the first quarter after capitalizing on ten Olivet turnovers, with steals from six different players in the first ten minutes alone. 

An opening 12-0 run for Hope began with an Ella McKinney jump shot and ended with a Claire Baguley layup before Olivet would successfully put up ther first two points, six minutes into the game. 

Now 4-1 in MIAA play and 11-1 overall, Hope remains tied for second place in the standings with Albion College. Both are one game behind Trine University. Hope is tied for fourth in this week's WBCA rankings and fifth in the D3hoops.com poll.

The Flying Dutch were led by seniors Claire Baguley (Ada, Michigan / Forest Hills Central HS) and Savannah Feenstra (Osceola, Indiana / Northwood), each grabbing 13 points.

Baguley sent in 5 of her 7 seven shots from the field, while going 3 for 3 at the free throw line. Feenstra, along with freshmen Sydney Vis and Karsen Karlblom (Crystal Lake, Illinois / Prairie Ridge), had a game-high five rebounds to help Hope ou-rebound Olivet 41 to 26. 

Senior Ella McKinney did not miss a shot en route to her 12 points on the court. The Haslett, Michigan native (Haslett) sank all five shots from the field and both attempts from behind the three point line. 

Vis, a Byron Center (South Christian) native, grabbed 11 points for Hope off the bench, while freshman Keegan Kaiser had a team-high four assists. 

The Flying Dutch return home on Wednesday, Jan. 11, for a matchup with Adrian College (6-8 overall, 2-3 MIAA) at 5:30 p.m. at DeVos Fieldhouse.
