Erica Miller poured in a career-high 22 points and Belle Pellecchia notched a career-high nine assists as New York University's women's basketball team downed host Brooklyn College, 87-49, on Wednesday night.
The Violets, who are ranked second in the country in D3hoops.com's latest poll, picked up their sixth straight double-digit victory to open the year.
NYU won the rebounding battle 43-32, held Brooklyn to 32.2 percent shooting from the floor and 23.5 percent from deep, forced 28 turnovers and recorded 30 bench points in the lopsided victory.
A pair of Bulldog free throws tied the score at 4-4 two minutes in, but NYU followed with an 18-3 run and led 29-12 after the first quarter.
NYU shot 9-of-14 from the floor in the second to continue to pull away, establishing a 51-28 halftime lead after Natalie Bruns' jumper 47 seconds before the break.
The Violets held Brooklyn to 31 percent shooting in the second half, outscoring the Bulldogs 36-21 across the final two quarters for the 38-point triumph.
It was NYU's second road game of the season as the team posted its second-highest point total of the young campaign.
Miller shot 8-of-13 from the floor and 6-of-11 from distance, adding a pair of boards to her career- and game-high 22 points.
Pellecchia nearly had a double-double, finishing with 16 points (7-of-8 FG), nine assists, three rebounds, and three steals.
Bruns did secure a double-double, her second of the season, recording 10 points, 10 boards, three assists, two steals, and a block.
Jenny Walker posted seven points, nine rebounds, three steals, two blocks, and two assists. Hanna Thrainsdottir, Honor Culpepper and Chloe Teter had six points apiece for NYU.
Twelve Violets scored in the win as the team shot 44.4 percent (32-of-72) from the field and 42.5 percent (17-of-40) from three-point range.
NYU will look to remain undefeated when it returns home to play Connecticut College on Friday, December 2, at the Brooklyn Athletic Facility. Tip is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
