The top-ranked Hope College women's basketball team heated up from 3-point range on a chilly Friday night.

The reigning NCAA Division III national champions soared to a 92-40 victory against Finlandia University by tying a DeVos Fieldhouse record with 14 made 3-pointers.

Hope finished shooting 56.0 percent from 3-point range (14-of-25) and 55.7 percent from the field (34-61). It is the second consecutive season the Flying Dutch have scored at least 90 points in each of their first three games of a season.

Now 3-0, Hope will face 13th-ranked and 4-0 Wisconsin Eau-Claire in the championship game on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 3 p.m.

Eau-Claire defeated Denison University (Ohio), 82-56, in Friday's tournament opener behind 20 points from starting guard Jessie Ruden and three other BluGolds in double figures.

"Our minutes were down. We didn't overplay anybody. Our legs will be fresh tomorrow," head coach Brian Morehouse said. "We're going to play a great team. We thought they could go to the Final Four last year with a good draw."

No member of the Flying Dutch played more than 17 minutes. All 15 players who took the court scored, including leading scorer Claire Baguley (Ada, MIchigan / Forest Hills Central).

The senior guard continued her early surge with a team-high 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field. Baguley, who's shooting 88 percent from the field this season, sank both of her two 3-point attempts.

Freshman Karsen Karlblom (Crystal Lake, Illinois / Prairie Ridge) chipped in 11 points off the bench.

Freshman forward Sydney Vis (Byron Center, Michigan / South Christian) added 10 points.

Senior forward Kate Majerus (Sycamore, Illinois / Sycamore) and junior guard Carlee Crabtree (Coldwater, Michigan / Coldwater) each sank three 3-pointers and finished with nine points.

The Flying Dutch equaled the DeVos Fieldhouse 3-point record when Hope defeated Adrian, 88-37, on February 25, 2021.

Hope never trailed after scoring the game's first 11 points and built leads of 23-10 after the first quarter and 53-18 at halftime.

Guard Natalie Bartle led Findlania (2-2) with 21 points.

Finlandia will face Denison on Saturday in the 1 p.m. consolation game.
