In Division III basketball, "March Madness" starts in mid-February. There are 44 automatic qualifying bids (AQs) into the 64-team NCAA Division III women's basketball tournament and 44 of those AQs were awarded to conference tournament winners. The UAA is the lone conference that awards its AQ to its regular season champion.
Conference playoffs started with first-round games as early as February 17 and then ran through the last championship games on Sunday, February 26.
