Russell Sage got the first basket on a layup, but the Wolves got theirs with style. Meaghan McGwin (Rochester, N.Y. / Hilton) made a leaping baseline save and in saving it, found Sydney Brown (Lowville, N.Y. / Lowville Academy) at the top of the key for the three and early Keuka advantage. Russell Sage responded, regained the lead, and extended it to 12-6. The Gators would lead 19-8 after the first.
Amelia Poole helped fight to keep the Wolves in the game. The senior scored five early in the quarter to cut the lead to 23-14. Poole scored 13 of Keuka's 14 points in the frame, including a three at the buzzer. The senior outscored Sage 13-12 in the second, but the Gators remained ahead 31-22 at the half.
The Gators scored the first five of the second half until Amelia Poole hit a three for the Wolves. Keuka would later cut the margin to seven as Poole found a cutting Meaghan McGwin for the lay-in to make it 36-29. Russell Sage responded with six straight to regain a double-digit lead. Lauren Hill (Cobleskill, N.Y. / Cobleskill-Richmondville) converted a three-point play late to snap the run, but Sage took a 45-32 lead into the final quarter.
The Green and Gold fought to keep the game within reach early in the fourth, but the Gators extended their lead. Back-to-back threes by Isabella Colon (Pine Bush, N.Y. / Pine Bush) trimmed it back to a 10-point game at 54-44 with four minutes left to play. Later, Colon found Jenna LaMere (Scottsville, N.Y. / Wheatland-Chili) for a three to keep it at 10 with 2:48 remaining. The Gators answered with a three, however, and saw the game out as they defeated Keuka College
