The Baruch College Bearcats went on the road Saturday afternoon to record a 55-39 CUNYAC victory against the Lightning of Lehman College.
The Bearcats scored only two points in the first period, but exploded the rest of the way out-scoring the hosts 18-6 in the second period and 19-8 in the third en route to evening their season record at 9-9 and 7-4 in the CUNYAC.
The visiting Bearcats only made one of their first 21 shots, but shot 24-of-49 in the final three periods to turn it around for a tranquil and important win.
Elissa Leung scored in double-figures for the third time in her last five games to finish with 14 points, six rebounds and six steals.
Mia Castillo led the Bearcats with 15 points and Melinda Spahiu had 10. Paige Traynor tallied nine points and six rebounds.
Brianna Barnes led Lehman with 25 points and nine rebounds.
